 
        
        Vestas Wind are looking for an experienced Site Manager to join their high achieving team in Western Australia. Specifically managing the running and client management of three wind farms in the region.
The is a unique opportunity to showcase your people, site and client management skills to achieve output and service gains throughout the designated wind farms in the region. Your focus will be to manage and support on-site service capabilities, creating a customer focused culture and maximizing profitability in line within Vestas Business objectives.
Ensuring Vestas HSE policies are effectively implemented and managed at each Wind Farm site of responsibility.
Lead and Manage all Direct reports and Site Employees to optimize Wind Farm performance and profitability.
Develop Wind Farm budgets and monitor expenditure against budget. Ensure cost control practices are implemented and executed.
Deputize as Regional Service Manager (RSM) in his/her absence.
Effective management, planning and execution of Service, Warranty & Continuous Improvement (CIM) works.
Manage and report to relevant customer contacts.
Development of the business by ensuring system efficiency and setting progressive service strategies in collaboration with the RSM.
Develop self by undertaking professional development, technical and product training.
Manage Wind Farm sub-contractor relationships.
Responsibilities
 1. Activity 1: Safety
 2. Facilitate a Safe and Inclusive working environment, including Conflict Management where appropriate
 3. Maintain Safety KPIs within nominated targets
 4. Develop a positive Safety Culture across all Sites under your span of control through available frameworks
 5. Participate in and facilitate QSE meetings when required ensure outcomes are effectively rolled out to the Sites under your span of control
 6. Ensure Service and Maintenance activities undertaken by Technicians are completed in accordance with Vestas HSE policies and procedures
 7. Designated case handler for all Tier 3 Incident Investigations and close out of Safety incidents that are reported from Sites within span of control
 8. Ensure Incident Management System Tasks are raised, are actioned and are effective so as to prevent reoccurrence of the Incident
 9. Undertake Safety Walks within the prescribed frequencies and review the quality of Safety Walks performed by Site Supervisors
 10. Activity 2: Personnel
 11. Leadership, management and supervision of Site Team
 12. Review and approve time sheets for all Site personnel under your span of control Daily
 13. Recruitment of Service staff
 14. Regular Wind Farm site visits
 15. Staff development, training planning and implementation
 16. Continual Performance Development (CPD) management of direct reports
 17. Implement People and Culture initiatives at the Wind Farm site level
 18. Activity 3: Customers
 19. Maintain regular contact with all Customers minimising potential disputes. Manage and maintain Customer Survey responses and results to nominated KPIs
 20. Accurate and timely reporting to agreed customer requirements per the relevant Service contract
 21. Attend Customer meetings at agreed formal meeting frequency
 22. Accurate and timely production of quotes to the customer per the terms and the conditions of the relevant Service contract and in collaboration with the Service Sales team where applicable
 23. Identify and Understand customer needs, actively meet customer needs and maintain positive professional relationship and actively engage upon Service Sales opportunities
 24. Contract deviations reported in a timely and transparent manner
 25. Activity 4: Financial and Administration
 26. Develop Wind Farm budgets in collaboration with immediate manager and subordinates and monitor Actuals vs budget
 27. Forecast cost expenditure on nominated Wind Farm sites and report to key stakeholders
 28. Assist the RSM to manage Service Contract Billing Plans including annual CPI adjustments, for the Wind Farms under your management, identifying potential risk
 29. Accurate and on time reporting across HSE, Financial and Staff, identifying immediate risk
 30. Act as RSM delegate in his/her absence to report and present at monthly ANZ Service
 31. Operational Business review Meeting
 32. Activity 5: Operational
 * Identify potential Wind Farm operational risks and proactively manage and mitigate risks in an effective manner
 * Develop and implement operational plan in accordance with contract and KPI's
 * Effective use and implementation of SAP and SAP BI to assist with forecasting/planning operations
 * Selection and on-going monitoring and audit of sub-contractors utilized on each Wind Farm site
 * Effective staff resourcing and appropriate competencies of Wind Farm Site staff to match volume of forecast maintenance and training schedule
 * Maximise Time & Materials and Vestas upgrade opportunities that fall outside scope of contract
 * Effective fleet management of each Wind Farm vehicle fleet
Qualifications
 * At least 5 years of experience in a related field in a leadership role
 * Electrical or mechanical trade certificate (Preferred)
 * Valid driver's license
