NSW Health Pathology is offering a temporary full-time Medical Laboratory Technician position at
Royal Prince Alfred Hospital
, serving Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and its affiliated facilities. The role is part of a dynamic laboratory environment where you will collaborate with a dedicated team to deliver high-quality diagnostic services.

What You'll Be Doing
Perform a range of manual and automated laboratory investigations and tests, applying established methods and procedures under direction. Undertake additional laboratory duties, including preparation of materials and maintenance of equipment in line with established laboratory processes, procedures and protocols.
Requirements
Minimum qualification of a Diploma in Laboratory Technology or an equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution with subjects relevant to pathology or medical laboratory operations.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience delivering pathology services within a relevant discipline, including use of Laboratory Information Systems, patient systems and quality systems.
Ability to work responsibly and efficiently, managing competing priorities to meet deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment while working autonomously to deliver results within specified timeframes to meet client expectations.
Customer-focused approach with well-developed interpersonal skills and good oral and written communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively with customers, patients and clinical laboratory staff.
Initiative, problem-solving and analytical skills, including ability to apply established principles in a pathology laboratory and investigate/resolve general and complex issues.
Commitment to quality management principles, continuous quality improvement and ability to identify, develop and implement quality and service improvement activities.
