With multiple delivery teams and a high‑volume BAU workload, the business places strong emphasis on structured service management, clear operational control and continuous improvement across IT operations.
Your new role
As the IT Service Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and delivery of BAU IT services across the organisation, working on a 4/3 roster. Operating primarily within the ITSM platform, you will take ownership of prioritisation, scheduling, change activity and incident coordination to ensure work is clearly ordered, assigned and delivered with minimal disruption to the business.
This is a service delivery and workflow management role rather than a hands‑on technical position. You will act as the central point of operational control, maintaining visibility of work in flight, balancing demand against capacity, leading incidents and changes, and directing operational activity across on-site and remote support teams.
What you'll need to succeed
You will bring proven experience in IT service delivery or IT operations, along with strong practical knowledge of ITIL v4, particularly Incident Management and Change and Release Management. You'll be experienced working day-to-day within an ITSM platform and confident in scheduling and coordinating work with business stakeholders.
Success in this role requires someone who is comfortable setting priorities without formal authority, remains calm and structured during incidents and change windows, and communicates clearly with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
