Role Overview
We're building something exciting in Kraków — a new Integrated Delivery Solutions team (IDS) focused on delivering world-class Civil, Structural, and Architectural (CS&A) engineering solutions. We're looking for passionate Civil Engineers. This is your chance to work on some of the world's most exciting nuclear and energy projects; from Small and Advanced Modular Reactor technologies to renewable energy and high-energy industrial projects. Key responsibilities
* Support the analysis, design and construction preparation activities relating to structures and civil engineering features within nuclear and energy projects.
* Support requirements capture and a Systems Engineering approach.
* Contribute across the project lifecycle from bid generation, through concept and detailed design development to construction.
* Preparation of safety case inputs, such as Safety Functional Requirements (SFRs), Structural Design Method Statements (SDMSs) and Design Substantiation Reports (DSR).
* Preparation of Interpretive Reports, Basis of Design, Finite Element Modelling and Analyses, Calculations, CDM documentation, Material Specifications, Scopes of Work, and Technical Reports
* Assist in the preparation of design safety documentation and compliance with nuclear safety standards
* Contribute to problem-solving, technical investigations, and root cause analysis.
* Produce high-quality technical reports.
* Build and maintain valuable relationships with peers, partners and clients.
Requirements
(the following list outlines desirable skills and qualifications. While these attributes are valued, we understand that applicants may not possess all of them. We therefore encourage applications from individuals with relevant experience and potential):
* MEng, MSc, BEng or BSc or equivalent in civil engineering or another relevant discipline.
* Working towards Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status with a relevant professional body (we will support you).
* Knowledge or civil engineering principles, design tools and relevant guidelines, standards and practices.
* Experience using finite element modelling software and associated post processing software, with experience in validation and verification of modelling tools and their outputs.
* Good knowledge of health and safety legislation and good practice.
* Understanding of the use of design tools within a BIM environment.
* Motivated team member with the ability to work to deadlines and communicate project progress.
* Good communication skills and ability to articulate information to a broad range of stakeholders.
* Committed to Continuous Professional Development.
* Awareness of civil engineering principles from highly regulated industries will be an advantage.
