Group Food and Beverage Manager

Position : Full-Time

About the Adelaide Hills Hotel Group:

The Adelaide Hills Hotel Group encompasses some of the best-known hospitality assets in the state and the nation. Situated in a prized tourist region with access to the Adelaide Hills wineries at their door, The Crafers Hotel (Crafers), The Stanley Bridge Tavern (Verdun) The Fourth Hill Providore (Verdun), and The District Hotel (Nairne) are searching for a passionate individual to join their management team.

A distinctive group of hospitality venues known for their gastro-pub cuisine, family-oriented atmosphere, community engagement and an extensive wine program including a 10,500 bottle collection at The Crafers Cellars that is nationally recognised, the group are poised to appoint a Group Food and Beverage Manager – a newly created role within the management team of the group.

Role Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and energetic professional who loves creating outstanding guest experiences and is ready to bring fresh ideas and leadership to a dynamic hotel group.

This is a key role, reporting to the CEO and working closely with venue management, the Food and Beverage Manager will oversee day to day operations across restaurants, bars, functions and accommodation, ensuring smooth, efficient and friendly service.

Attributes we are seeking:

* Ability to lead, train, support and develop the food and beverage team,

* Ability to recruit, train and roster staff to meet service and labour targets

* Ability to manage budgets and interpret P&L’s and wage costs

* Ability to ensure compliance with all health, safety and licensing requirements

* Able to maintain high standards of service, presentation and compliance

If you have proven experience in the following, then we want to hear from you:

* Proven experience in all aspects of Food and Beverage Management

* Proven knowledge in Food and Beverage Operations, with the ability to lead a team to success

* Strong Financial acumen– comfortable working with budgets and P&Ls

* Strong understanding of Food and Beverage costs

* Collaborate with the Head Chefs on menu planning

* Strong people leadership

* Solid understanding of hotel operations

* Assist in implementing marketing/promotional strategies to improve guest service standards and revenue generation

* Organised and passionate about providing the highest level of service

* Ensures all staff members are kept up to date and informed of the department’s activities creating open communication

* Audit operating standards and procedures to ensure they comply with company standards, and where necessary develop and implement new procedures.

* Through hands-on management, closely supervise team members’ performance of their duties and ensure this is in accordance with policies and procedures

Key Requirements:

* Proven hands-on experience in hotel management, particularly wine portfolio and food management;

* People leadership experience;

* WSET Level 3 and above.

* Collaborative and initiative led skillset with excellent communication skills

* Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively;

* Knowledge of hospitality labour laws;

* A proactive, problem-solving attitude and the ability to work under pressure.

* Proven understanding of POS systems and management;

* Proficient in excel and Microsoft suite.
