Business Development Professional
We are seeking a Business Development Professional to join our team. This individual will play a key role in identifying and qualifying business opportunities that align with our strategic plan and business goals.
This role is responsible for developing customer affinity, shaping customer requirements, and positioning us for success. The ideal candidate will have a strong network across Defence, Federal Government, Industry, or Academia, and be familiar with Defence Capability and Defence Sustainment projects.
* Building and maintaining market intelligence and identifying entry strategies to grow our position in the Department of Defence and other relevant Federal Government Departments.
* Establishing us within external networks and working with our Corporate Affairs team to raise brand awareness among prospective clients, partners, and stakeholders.
* Maintaining relationships with existing clients and developing new client contacts, especially in the Department of Defence and other relevant Federal Government Departments.
* Leading and managing pursuits consistent with our Business Development Process, through Stages 1 and 2, from early shaping activities through to handover to a Capture Manager in Stage 3 (Capture Planning).
Key Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in technical fields or equivalent experience in Defence or national security operations.
* Extensive and relevant network across Defence, Federal Government, Industry, or Academia.
* Familiarity with Defence, Defence Capability, and Defence Sustainment projects.
* Highly evolved communication skills with the ability to effectively influence stakeholders.
