owns and operates the established Second Fortune Gold Mine and the newly launched Fish mine in the Laverton Goldfields region of Western Australia. To support our expanding operations, we have a new vacancy for a Safety and Training Partner at our Second Fortune Gold Mine to drive our focus and priority on safety.
As a
Safety and Training Partner
you will build strong partnerships with local managers and employees to embed safety initiatives. You will:
* Conduct full competency-based assessments or VOC Assessments for underground disciplines.
* Support incident investigations and implement corrective and preventative actions.
* Review, maintain and develop Mine Safety Management Systems and training documentation.
* Conduct workplace, plant and equipment inspections, audits and safe tasks observations.
* Communicate health and safety information and education initiatives.
* Lead onsite inductions for employees and contractors.
* Facilitate and participate in Toolbox and Site Safety Meetings
* Complete H&S reporting and administrative tasks.
You will ideally have previous experience in a similar role at an operational underground mine, be familiar with and have operated underground mobile equipment and have a working knowledge of WHS / DMIRS Acts, Regulations and reporting requirements. In addition, you will hold a Diploma in WHS (or similar discipline), a current First Aid Certificate, a Cert IV in Training and Assessment, emergency response training (desirable).
