About this role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Practitioner to join our team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and dedicated professional to make a real difference in the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality health care services, including assessments, diagnoses, and treatments.
They will work closely with a wide range of professionals and the public, as part of a team, to deliver comprehensive and holistic health care within the framework of the Institute for Urban Indigenous Health (IUIH) model of care.
Main Responsibilities:
* Provide skilled health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment services to clients.
* Work with a variety of professionals and the public to deliver effective health care services.
* Implement and support a medical/primary health care team, effectively planning and coordinating workload to achieve results.
* Use clinical software systems and other technology to deliver quality health care services.
* Operate within Clinical Policy and Procedures at all times.
* Develop productive working relationships with staff, facilitating cooperation, trust, and respect.
Requirements:
* MBBS or equivalent qualification.
* Unconditional registration with AHPRA.
* Minimum of 2 years' experience as a medical practitioner in a general practice/primary health care setting.
* Demonstrated ability to meet targets and performance outcomes.
* Decisive listening, influencing, and persuasive skills.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Previous experience of working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.
* Registered GP Supervisor.
* Vocational Registration.
