Our client is seeking two experienced Mechanical Engineers to join their team based in Auburn, New South Wales.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, and supervise the mechanical maintenance activities of the plant and equipment.
Develop mechanical system design solutions based on engineering principles and involvement in presenting the solution to the customer.
Interpret client requirements, identify and address design parameters and engineering problems, and ensure solutions are implemented accurately and within budget.
Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the fundamentals of contract terms and conditions and various Company needs from Vendors and Suppliers.
Create and finalize designs and procedures to meet project requirements.
Create accurate Estimates and bills of Materials for the project.
Define equipment and parts from external suppliers or contractors.
Conduct cost and time estimation.
Oversee project workflow and support internal and external resources to ensure timely delivery of projects, expected quality, and allotted budget.
Resolve operational problems related to projects and minimize delays or unexpected cost increases.
Ensure that all maintenance activities are performed safely and efficiently in accordance with the company's policies and procedures.
Provide critical review and guidance to teammate’s analysis and design.
Maintain accurate records and files according to quality standards.
Participate and support the Integrated Systems (Quality, Safety and Setting Management).
Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in mechanical maintenance in a heavy industry setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with maintenance management software systems.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Willingness to work extended hours when required.
