This high profile company has a new outstanding opportunity for a senior commercial property lawyer to join its small legal team in Melbourne. This diverse, interesting and challenging role will appeal to commercially focused lawyers.
Working in a small friendly team, reporting to and working very closely with the General Counsel, this broad role will provide substantial autonomy. You will work closely with the business, and provide advice and assistance in relation to the company’s commercial property, leasing, developments, hotel management agreements, and commercial legal matters, including commercial contract negotiation and commercial management.
You will be involved amongst many other things in drafting, reviewing and negotiating leases, agreements, licenses and other instruments, and also in acquisitions and disposals, and possibly building and construction. Your role will also involve managing external lawyers. The ideal candidate will be a motivated team player, great communicator with excellent technical, time management and project management skills. You will also be a self-starter, capable of forming strong relationships with the legal team and your business customers.
