Senior Surveyor
Permanent Role
$80,000 - $108,680 plus superannuation
Darwin - On-site
Australian & New Zealand Citizens

We're looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Surveyor to join our team in Darwin on a permanent basis. In this role, you'll be responsible for leading surveying projects from start to finish, providing expert technical guidance, and ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both land and engineering surveying, a solid understanding of relevant legislation, and the ability to mentor junior staff.


Key Responsibilities

Project Management: Lead and manage all aspects of surveying projects, including planning, execution, and reporting.

Field Work: Conduct precise surveys for various projects, including cadastral, topographical, and construction.

Data Analysis: Process, analyze, and interpret survey data using specialized software.

Quality Control: Ensure all surveys comply with Australian standards and company procedures.

Mentorship: Provide training and guidance to junior surveyors and technical staff.

Client Relations: Liaise with clients, engineers, and government authorities to ensure project requirements are met.

Documentation: Prepare detailed reports, plans, and technical documents.


Qualifications and Experience

Tertiary qualification in surveying or a related field.

Current registration as a surveyor with the Surveyors Board of the Northern Territory (NT).

Minimum of 5 years of post-registration experience in a senior surveying role.

Proficiency with modern surveying equipment (e.g., total stations, GPS/GNSS, laser scanners).

Strong knowledge of surveying software (e.g., AutoCAD, 12d Model).

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Must be a citizen of an Anglosphere country that is a party to the Five Eyes intelligence alliance (Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, or the United States) and have the right to work permanently in Australia.

Experience working in the Northern Territory.

Familiarity with remote area surveying.
