This is a unique chance to make a tangible impact at UQ by strengthening child safety governance, updating policies, and ensuring compliance with Queensland legislation, including the *Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000* and the *Child Safe Organisations Act 2024*.In this purpose-driven role, you will collaborate with UQ faculties, schools, and institutes to review current practices, identify compliance gaps, and implement solutions that embed best-practice standards while working closely with senior leaders and key stakeholders to achieve timely outcomes.*Key Responsibilities:** Lead the end-to-end delivery of the Child Safe Standards Project, including planning, tracking progress, and using tools like Smartsheet.* Coordinate communication and engagement with leaders and teams to support project outcomes.* Ensure compliance with policies and legislation, including managing risks and reporting.* Work independently to organise and deliver multiple tasks across a busy and diverse environment.This is a full-time fixed-term position **until 28 August 2026** at HEW Level 8.# **About You*** Postgraduate qualifications (or working towards) in Business, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.* Proven experience managing medium to large projects, ideally within a large organisation.* Good understanding of project management tools and methodologies to monitor progress and deliver outcomes.* Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to build relationships, manage competing priorities, and work to tight deadlines.Appointment to this role is subject to the successful completion of relevant pre-employment checks, which may include verification of the right to work in Australia, qualifications, criminal history checks.
