Who are we?
The Greenmountain Group of businesses is Australia's largest family-owned and operated vertically integrated beef and veal production and processing operation. Greenmountain specializes in growing and sourcing naturally bred, naturally fed beef and veal to be processed at our modern export food processing establishment at Coominya in the Lockyer Valley of south-east Queensland.
Greenmountain takes pride in being able to offer full-time positions with extensive opportunities for career development with the vast majority of the company's production supervisors, and middle and upper management having commenced their careers at Greenmountain in entry-level production roles.
The company has a role available inside of its livestock department. The role available is as follows; As part of the small livestock team, the successful applicant will be tasked with a wide range of farm and livestock duties. A summary of duties;
* Handling livestock (Receivables, herding, penning, cleaning, feeding)
* Operating farm machinery (Skid steer, tractor)
* General farm maintenance (Fencing, hosing out of pens)
Successful candidates are hired as full-time hours Monday- Friday, with a requirement to be able to work Saturdays as overtime when required.
As an individual's employment progresses there are opportunities for career development through on-site TAFE training and internal training programs.
Qualifications:
* Prior experience handling cattle is essential.
* Prior experience operating machinery is beneficial, but not essential.
* Essential traits that successful candidates must have are reliability, a good attitude, honesty, good numeracy and writing skills.
* Plus a current driver's licence and reliable transport.
