Lake Tuggeranong College is seeking an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Officer for a full time temporary role with possibility of permanency.

As an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Officer you will play an important role supporting schools to build their cultural integrity, embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives in teaching and learning programs and to create a school culture of respect in which Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and families feel respected and connected to their cultures.

Located in Tuggeranong, Lake Tuggeranong College is one of 9 public school secondary / senior colleges that caters for students in years 11 and 12, supporting the learning of around 600 students. The College has approximately 70 teachers, learning support and administrative staff support students.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:

* This is an Identified position in accordance with Section 27(4) of the Public Sector Management Act 1994 and is only open to an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person. Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander lived experience and cultural capability is considered essential and therefore confirmation of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage may be requested.
* Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required. For further information on Working with Vulnerable People registration refer to - Apply for or renew a WWVP registration - Access Canberra )
* Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid working visa.

Notes: This is a temporary position available from 27 January 2026 until 19 July 2026 with the possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency.
