Your New Role
The position of the Religious Education Coordinator (REC) is a senior leadership role that exists to support the Principal in implementing the mission and vision of the school, to support growth in faith and improvement in learning for students. The REC has the delegated responsibility for the leadership, coordination and supervision of learning and teaching in Religious Education. In sharing the leadership of Catholic Life, Education and Mission, the REC is required to have a well-developed capacity to take forward the evangelising mission of Catholic schools within the Diocese of Wagga Wagga.

Salary determined by NESA Accreditation and Teaching Service plus Coordinator 2 Allowance ($19,552 per annum)
Coordinator appointments are 5 years full-time with the option of an additional 5 years subject to ongoing successful performance reviews
Essential Criteria
Postgraduate academic qualifications additional to initial teacher training
As an employee with CEDWW you are expected to lead and promote the mission and vision of Catholic Education
Demonstrates a sound understanding of and commitment to Catholic Education and regularly participates in the sacramental life of the Church
Accreditation for Senior Leadership in a Catholic School (Category E) or working towards Accreditation
NESA Accreditation at Proficient Status or beyond
Current Driver's Licence
Current Working With Children Check
Successful candidate to undertake National Criminal History Check
Three referees, one of which must be your current employer and your current Parish Priest; references checked prior to shortlisting
Skills and Experience
Recent school or system Leadership experience
Highly developed communication skills in a range of forums and media
Knowledge and understanding of teaching and learning pedagogies, curriculum and practice
Ability to think critically, strategically and operationally, implementing a structured cycle of improvement initiatives
Strong relational skills across a range of circumstances
Ability to understand, interpret and analyse data relevant to scope of practice
Experience in management of budgets and understanding of relevant policy and governance procedures
