Responsibilities
- Providing high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities in a residential setting
- Assisting clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management
- Implementing individualized care plans and monitoring progress towards goals
- Supporting clients to engage in social and recreational activities within the community
- Collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the holistic well-being of clients
Requirements
- Previous experience in disability support or a related field preferred
- Certificate III or IV in Disability Support, Aged Care, or Community Services (or willingness to obtain)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends and overnight shifts
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver's license
- NDIS workers screen or willing to obtain
- Clean criminal record
- Manual handling certificate or willing to obtain
- Competitive hourly rate ($35 - $41 per hour) with opportunities for overtime
