We are currently recruiting for experienced proactive and safety conscious Test Engineer for our Tier 1 client located in the Pilbara.

Position Overview
The Test Engineer is a focused professional with expertise in Autonomous Haulage Systems (AHS). They interpret and conduct hands-on testing across multiple locations including mine sites, overseeing safety and standard compliance across complex distribution systems and heavy vehicles. They show leadership in testing, interpreting and troubleshooting while collaborating with key personnel to deliver reliable results.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct on-site testing to verify AHS functionality at system integration level including obstacle detection and route navigation.
* Calibrate integrated vehicle control systems and sensors, testing performance and reliability
* Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware/software faults
* Collaborate with key personnel to achieve exceptional functionality and performance
* Manage and mitigate risks and faults, adhering to engineering standards and protocols
* Document metrics to verify compliance across AHS system standards
* Develop reports on integration test outcomes, defects, and system readiness for further development.
Key Skills & Qualifications
* Minimum 2+ years' experience in a similar role
* Proven ability to achieve effective results in a timely manner
* Strong understanding of the mining product lifecycle, with a focus on field testing ensuring operational safety and efficiency
* Expertise in integration, system, regression, performance, hardware-in-the-loop, and experimental testing for autonomous haulage systems
* Deep knowledge of AHS technologies, including sensors, vehicle controls, and mining-specific challenges like dust, vibration, and remote operations
* Proven ability to conduct field tests for complex autonomous projects in remote sites
* Analytical skills for diagnosing issues and interpreting test data in dynamic environments
* Clear communication to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and report findings effectively
* Strong Linux command line skills
* Familiarity with traceability and test evidence gathering with common test management tooling
If you are successful for this position you will need to provide a current national police clearance and pass a full medical.
