An excellent opportunity for an experienced Private Tax professional to join a well-regarded advisory team supporting family offices, privately owned businesses, entrepreneurs and high-net-worth clients across a broad range of complex tax and succession matters.
You will work with clients across trusts, companies, partnerships and individuals, advising on matters including restructures, capital gains tax, Division 7A, trust issues, succession and estate planning, and broader tax planning and advisory work. This role will suit someone who is confident leading client relationships, providing clear advice on technically complex matters and operating as a trusted adviser across both tax and family office-related issues.
The role
You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of private clients, delivering a mix of advisory, planning and compliance work, and acting as a senior point of contact on both day-to-day and strategic tax matters. You will lead engagements, oversee the quality of work delivered, support junior team members and contribute to the continued strength of a technically capable and collaborative team.
The work is varied, intellectually strong and suited to someone who enjoys combining technical depth with commercial judgement and client engagement. You will be part of an environment that values quality, professionalism and the ability to provide considered advice across sensitive and often high-value matters, including ATO engagement programs such as the Top 500 and Next 5,000.
About you
You will bring proven experience in Australian tax, ideally gained within a chartered, legal, accounting or professional services environment, with exposure to private clients, family groups, family offices or complex privately held structures. You will be technically strong, commercially credible and comfortable working across complex issues with discretion and professionalism.
You are likely to be someone who can operate confidently in front of sophisticated clients, manage competing priorities and provide practical advice across both technical and relationship-led matters. You take pride in the quality of your work, understand the broader context for clients and are comfortable navigating issues that require sound judgement and maturity.
