In this role, you will provide critical assessment, crisis intervention, and short-term case management for clients experiencing acute mental health challenges.
You'll work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support recovery-focused care in the community.
This is a short-term locum opportunity, offering the flexibility to explore a new location and experience a taste of what North Queensland has to offer.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct psychosocial assessments and risk evaluations
Deliver evidence-based interventions and crisis support
Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with clients and families
Provide short-term case management and follow-up support
Liaise with hospitals, GPs, and community services to ensure continuity of care
Maintain accurate documentation and reports in line with clinical standards
About You
Qualification in Social Work or Psychology
AHPRA or AASW registration/eligibility
Experience in acute mental health services
Strong risk assessment, crisis intervention, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
