The Company
This is a business in growth mode and one that has shaken up its industry with bold digital moves, a loyal customer base, and an appetite for innovation. Technology is at the heart of the next phase, and the biggest gap to close is to harmonise their systems and leverage their full potential across a trade and corporate level.
The organisation has invested heavily in new technology and has plenty more projects in their technology pipeline. They need someone who can lead projects, bring clarity to integrations, and ensure the right tools and technology is being fully optimised. This is a blank canvas in many respects, with the opportunity to touch every part of the business and make a direct, lasting impact. This role offers both growth and leadership opportunities as the technology department continues to grow.
Responsibilities
* Reporting to the Head of Technology, you'll be responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions, and ensuring systems work seamlessly together at a trade and corporate level. The role is weighted: 40% projects, 40% process improvement, 10% ad hoc support, 10% cross-functional collaboration.
* Lead and deliver strategic initiatives — Shopify migration, wholesale channel launch, productivity app consolidation, and implementing new ERP analytics capability.
* Analysis & requirements gathering: Translate business needs into clear technical specifications and system designs.
* Integration & solution design: Deliver integrations between Shopify Native, ERP, CRM, and analytics/reporting platforms; optimise APIs and data flows.
* Process improvement & optimisation: Uncover inefficiencies in ecommerce and retail tech; implement streamlined solutions.
* Technical systems management: Oversee performance and stability of ecommerce, ERP, MarTech and productivity apps.
Success in this role will be leading and delivering projects on time, improving and optimising technology and tools, enabling clear reporting across systems, and empowering teams to work smarter and more effectively.
Your Background
To thrive in this role, you'll bring a blend of technical depth and retail/ecommerce systems and integration know-how, with the ability to shape and lead solutions end-to-end. You thrive in fast-paced environments where priorities can shift, and you're as comfortable being in the detail of an API flow as you are explaining solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in technically focused roles, with retail or ecommerce experience preferred.
* Hands-on experience with leading ecommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento) or bespoke systems.
* Proficiency in integrating core retail systems, including ERPs and POS, with strong knowledge of APIs and modern integration methodologies.
* Exceptional communication skills.
* Proven ability to analyse complex systems and document technical requirements with clarity.
* Experience translating business needs into well-architected technical solutions.
* Familiarity with inventory management and supply chain processes in a fashion retail context.
* Analytics and reporting experience a strong plus.
