ACCOUNTS CLERK/BOOKKEEPER
Location: On-site, Joondalup Western Australia
Hours: 6–10 hours per week
Schedule: Flexible days
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Clerk / Bookkeeping Assistant to join our team in a part-time, on-site role (6–10 hours per week). This position is ideal for someone returning to the workforce or seeking school-hours work.
About the Role
This position focuses on transactional bookkeeping, supporting multiple client files. You will primarily handle accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliation, including preparation of ABA files for electronic payments.
Key Responsibilities
* Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable in Xero
* Preparing, reviewing and uploading ABA files
* Bank, Creditor and Debtor reconciliations
* Maintaining accurate client bookkeeping records
* Assisting with month-end bookkeeping tasks
* Using Excel and Microsoft 365 for reporting and administration
About You
* Minimum 3+ years experience working as a Bookkeeper, Accounting Clerk or Accounts Assistant in Australia
* Advanced Xero experience is essential
* Proven experience with AP/AR processing, and preparing ABA payment files
* Solid Excel skills and confidence using Microsoft 365
* High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
* Highly organised with good time management skills
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Seeking a flexible, part-time or casual role
* Australian Citizenship or permanent residency required
