In this exciting permanent full time role in Rockhampton you will join a team that values your skills and dedication to safe and efficient rail operations to connect Queensland and our Communities driving the Spirit of Queensland, Electric Tilt Train and Spirit of the Outback.

* $148,620 annual Regional Full Flat Rate in cycle (4 weeks) plus additional allowances, OT and 12.75% superannuation
* Meal allowance on every shift, where possible a Travel Train meal is provided
* Individual self-contained minimum 3.5 star apartment when overnight stay is required
* Yearly wage Increases – minimum 3% each year until 2027

New agreement (TBC) effective 31 December 2026
* Reduction in cycle time from 160 hrs to 152 hrs over 4 weeks and introduction of a 9-day fortnight
* Apply with Cover Letter outlining your driving experience including types of traction and locations/routes.
* Hold Certificate in Train Driving - original must be presented prior to the next stage
* Hold a current C Class Drivers Licence.
* Meet safety critical benchmark for psychometric assessment (conducted after application in Queensland)
* Confirm you will relocate to Rockhampton if successful, and understand you will not be eligible to change depot locations for a minimum of two years as per the EA.
DEL Traction experience and QLD safeworking qualification are preferred.
Applicants will undergo pre-employment testing for alcohol and other drugs, Category 1 Health Assessment, safety critical psychometric assessments, reference checking and potential background checks, including criminal history.
