**Role Summary & Purpose**
To repair and maintain machinery to ensure optimal performance.
To fit, assemble, grind and shape metal parts and subassemblies to fabricate production machines and other equipment.
**Team members may do any of the following duties**:
- Determines suitable material, method and sequence of operations and machine settings
- Fits fabricated metal parts and assembles them
- Sets guides, stops and other controls on machining tools, sets up prescribed cutting and shaping tools and dies in machines and presses (Lathe and Milling)
- Forms metal stock and castings to weld, press, cut, grind, plane, bore and drill metal
- Cuts, threads, bends and installs hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines
- Performs Scheduled maintenance of machines, mechanical parts, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
**What you can demonstrate**:
- Sound communication/teamwork skills
- Attention to detail, ability to produce and communicate design ideas.
- Strong knowledge of tooling, welding techniques, drilling and tapping.
- Proficient in the use of powered hand-tools
- Good knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Experienced in the use of Mex (or similar)
- Experience with Roll-forming Machinery and/or related process.
- Good Root Cause identification skills.
