BORDERTOWN SITE (Occasional travel to Padthaway grain site)
We are seeking a proactive team member to join our grain operations across our Bordertown and Padthaway sites. In this versatile role, you will operate heavy machinery, manage grain receivals, and maintain our high quality and safety standards. If you are a reliable operator who takes pride in a clean, efficient workspace and is ready to support our local growers and sustainable energy initiatives, we want to hear from you.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Comply with Blue Lake Milling WHS procedures to support a proactive safety culture.
* Operate a variety of machinery involved in the grain receival process, such as the tractor auger combo, tubulators, and JCB loader.
* Assist in the fumigation and cleaning of silos at Bordertown and Padthaway sites.
* Operate forklift to facilitate the movement of products around the site, including loading stockfeed customers and feeding the Biogas plant.
* Perform sampling and testing on incoming grains to verify Quality specifications are met.
* Ensure accurate and timely completion of Quality documentation.
* Assist and effectively communicate requirements to growers and transport providers.
* Support Blue Lake Milling in maintaining Quality standards and ensuring product safety and legality.
* Maintain general cleanliness and organisation of the work environment, including cleaning grain pits, emptying filtration, and cleaning grain spills.
* Candidates must be willing & available to work overtime, including evenings or weekends as required.

* You prioritise compliance with WHS and Quality standards, considering the impact of the grain receival process on other business operations down the line.
* You can effectively communicate and engage with individuals from diverse educational, expertise, and background levels.
* You possess basic computer skills and are motivated to learn other software used in the grain receival process.
* You have a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a strong attention to detail.
* You are mechanically minded and enjoy operating various types of equipment.
* You are willing to undertake additional training, as necessary.
* You must have a valid driver's licence.
* You have a current forklift licence.
* Although not required, prior experience with farm machinery is advantageous.
