Our Not For Profit client is a leading non-for-profit organisation that employs over 1800 permanent staff and 11,000 volunteers. They are looking for a procurement professional to join their supply chain team for a minimum of 6 weeks.
This role may be open for extension.
The pay rate is negotiable depending on experience.
The working hours are 8.30am - 4.30pm but can be flexible.
The start date is ASAP.
They are looking for someone with experience in a similar role with knowledge and insight in procurement, contracts and/ or evaluation processes. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and the ability to problem solve.
The person will operate in the goods and services stream of supply chain focusing on contract management, compliance of business purchasing and assist with reporting efforts.
- Ensure compliance within the business purchasing policies for both internal and external stakeholders
- Support the creation of procurement governance activities for the business
- Assist in the implementation, execution and general management of existing Contracts
- Update contract registers and ensure that internal stakeholders to establish Contracts where consistent low value spend is occurring
- Undertake spend analysis reporting to identify opportunities for internal stakeholders to establish Contracts where consistent low value spend is occurring
- Managing internal and external queries coming into the Procurement branch
- Undertaking general administration duties of contracts
Required skills and qualifications:
* Experience in a similar role with knowledge and insight in procurement, contracts and/ or evaluation processes
* Strong analytical skills and the ability to problem solve
* Proficient communication skills, including the ability to liaise and negotiate with individuals at all levels
* An understanding of comprehensive reporting and document control
* A solid level of competency using Microsoft Office Suites (Excel especially)
