About the Role & Duties
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to support a large-scale food production facility in Monarto, South Australia. This role sits within a specialist maintenance team responsible for keeping critical plant and equipment running in a high-volume production environment.
The work is a mix of preventative and reactive maintenance, with a strong focus on mechanical reliability and continuous improvement.
Key duties include:
• Preventative and reactive mechanical maintenance
• Industrial control and sensor maintenance
• Conveyor systems maintenance and repairs
• Machine reworks and alterations
• Installation of new machinery and equipment
• Fault finding to minimise downtime in a production environment
• This role is available as permanent full time, temp-to-perm, or temporary coverage, with an ASAP start.
What Experience Will Suit This Role
• Food manufacturing, FMCG, agriculture, or processing environments
• Conveyor-driven production lines
• Automated or semi-automated plant
• Working in hygiene-controlled or 24/7 production settings
• Fast-paced sites where breakdown response is critical
• Experience in mushroom, produce, or controlled-environment agriculture facilities will be highly regarded.

Requirements
• Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (Fitter) or similar
• Current driver's licence
• Strong fault-finding and mechanical maintenance skills
• Ability to work safely in an industrial production environment
