About the Business

We’re looking for an experienced Estimator who knows how to turn drawings, specs, and RFTs into accurate, competitive, and commercially sound tenders. If you enjoy variety, autonomy, and being part of a supportive team that actually values your input, this is a role worth exploring.
About the Role
You’ll be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions across traffic control, traffic signals, and civil/electrical works. This role is central to our commercial success and offers genuine career progression for the right person.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Reviewing RFTs, drawings, specs, and contract conditions
* Preparing detailed cost estimates and quantity takeoffs
* Building labour, plant, material, subcontractor, and indirect cost rates
* Identifying scope gaps, risks, and commercial exposures
* Obtaining and evaluating supplier/subcontractor quotes
* Preparing compliant, professional tender submissions
* Supporting post‑tender clarifications and handovers to delivery teams
* Helping refine estimating templates, systems, and rate libraries
What You’ll Bring
* Experience in estimating within traffic control, traffic signals, or civil/electrical construction
* Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents
* Strong understanding of estimating principles and cost control
* Familiarity with TMR, Council, and Australian Standards (highly regarded)
* Proficiency in Excel and tender portals (VendorPanel, QTenders, etc.)
* High attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to meet deadlines
* Trade or technical background (preferred)
* Diploma/Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or similar (preferred)
* Experience with Queensland government or council projects (preferred)
