Senior Category Buyer - Women's Trend

This is a challenging and rewarding role for an experienced Senior Category Buyer to lead the Women's category and drive sales, profit, and customer satisfaction.

As a key member of the Buying team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to maximize revenue growth, manage stock levels, and optimize product ranges.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Planning, Marketing, and Merchandising, to ensure alignment on product direction and customer needs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in category management, with experience in developing and executing business plans, managing budgets, and driving sales growth.

You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

* Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement category strategies to drive sales and profit growth
* Manage stock levels and optimize product ranges to meet customer needs
* Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on product direction and customer needs
* Develop and execute business plans, manage budgets, and drive sales growth
* Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
* Collaborate with the Buying Manager to achieve sales targets and manage inventory levels
* Conduct market research and analysis to inform buying decisions
* Monitor and report on sales performance and provide insights to improve future planning

Requirements:

* Proven experience in category management, preferably in a retail or fashion industry setting
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
* Knowledge of retail operations, including inventory management, supply chain logistics, and visual merchandising
* Experience with Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office tools
