At Smartgroup, we're looking for a dynamic and driven Business Development Manager – Fleet who thrives in building strong relationships, navigating complex sales cycles, and delivering impactful solutions to clients.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a strategic thinker and proactive relationship builder who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and is passionate about helping businesses thrive through innovative fleet solutions.

What you will do:

* Create new opportunities: Build and nurture a pipeline of prospects through thoughtful outreach, strategic networking, and digital engagement.
* Lead long-cycle sales: Guide clients through extended decision-making journeys, engaging senior stakeholders with confidence and clarity.
* Present with purpose: Deliver tailored, insight-driven presentations that speak to client needs and highlight our unique value.
* Shape the conversation: Influence tenders and RFPs by building trusted relationships early in the process.
* Collaborate for success: Work closely with internal teams to ensure a seamless client experience from first contact to implementation.
* Stay informed and connected: Use Salesforce to track progress, share insights, and keep leadership aligned on key developments.

What you bring:

* A proven track record in B2B sales, especially in long-cycle, high-value environments.
* A self-starter mindset with a passion for building new relationships and opening doors.
* Confidence in engaging with senior decision-makers and presenting complex solutions clearly.
* Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
* Experience in the fleet or automotive sector is a plus.
* Familiarity with fleet funding models and fleet management solutions is highly regarded.
* Proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and a data-informed approach to sales.
* A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
