About this role:
We are seeking an experienced electrical engineer to provide technical and reliability support for electrical equipment and instrumentation across our non-processing infrastructure and green energy hub.
Key responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement strategies to improve the reliability and performance of electrical equipment, reducing unplanned outages and maintenance costs.
2. Apply data analysis and digital tools to predict failures and plan interventions.
3. Oversee electrical system design and installation to meet safety and compliance standards.
4. Work closely with mechanical, process and operations teams to integrate electrical components seamlessly into plant infrastructure.
5. Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics to identify and resolve electrical issues promptly, providing technical support to site electricians.
6. Stay on top of emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending and implementing enhancements to operational efficiency.
Qualifications and experience:
* Tertiary qualification in electrical engineering.
* Experience in electrical reliability engineering within a mining or heavy industrial processing environment.
* Certificate IV in hazardous areas or classification competency provided by a registered training organisation.
* TüV or equivalent qualification in functional safety (desirable).
