**The Opportunity**:
The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Recreation and Tenancy Manager to join the Commercial Operations Branch.

This is a unique opportunity to work in one of Australia's most recognisable venues, where you will enjoy a competitive salary, free parking, and complimentary gym membership. As part of a dedicated team, you will lead the front-of-house operations across several key retail outlets, including the Staff Dining Room, Queens Terrace Café, Coffee Hub, and Coffee Cart.

The Recreation and Tenancy Coordination team provide valued services to the Press Gallery and retail tenants at Australian Parliament House (APH). The team also manage and provide administrative support to the Health and Recreation Centre and the Hair and Wellness Centre. The core remit of the team is to be responsive to our tenant's needs, develop and implement strategies to promote DPS services and ensure tenants deliver services that building occupants value. Much of the team's work involves managing a diverse range of external stakeholder relationships at APH.

The team manage contract and licence agreements to ensure compliance with best practice and Commonwealth requirements. This involves property management including day-to-day maintenance of APH facilities to more complex suite renovations which can span several months. Separately, the team support and promote DPS health and wellbeing services delivered in the gym, salon and beauty centre.

**Who we are looking for**:
The role requires a leader with effective stakeholder management and communication skills, and an understanding of delivering results and solving problems in a public sector environment. You will have a demonstrated understanding of government processes, policies and procedures including Commonwealth procurement guidelines, financial delegation and financial acumen.

**Job Specific Requirements**:

- The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (Protected/Restricted) security clearance.

**Duty Statement**

Under limited/general direction undertake duties in accordance with the agreed standards for the specified classification. The duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Proactively manage stakeholder relationships with Australian Parliament House licensees to achieve positive outcomes for the department, clients and tenants.

2. Lead the development and implementation of strategies to promote services and building occupant satisfaction.

4. Assist the Director with reporting KPI's and ensuring tenants comply with the terms of licence agreements. Support the Health and Recreation Centre and the Hair and Wellness Centre.

5. Research and prepare strategic advice, information and briefing notes to respond to complex issues including the drafting of responses to enquiries and briefs as required (including but not limited to Presiding Officer Submissions and Internal Minutes).

6. Attend departmental and external meetings and provide administrative support and deliver efficiencies.

7. Plan and implement procurement processes, including documentation to comply with Commonwealth Procurement Rules.

8. Other duties as required.

5. Experience managing contracts is highly regarded.
