Coomera Rivers State School P&C is looking for a friendly and reliable Cafe (Tuckshop) Assistant to join the team at Crusaders Cafe.
This is a permanent part-time position (30 hours per week) working Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 2:30pm (30-minute unpaid lunch break) - offering great weekday hours aligned with the school day and a welcoming community work environment.
Our café is a busy and positive part of the school community, providing fresh food and drinks to students and staff each day. We are seeking someone who enjoys working in a team, takes pride in food preparation and customer service, and contributes to a supportive workplace culture.
About the Role
* Assist with preparation and service of food and drinks
* Support daily tuckshop operations including food preparation and basic cooking
* Maintain high standards of food safety and kitchen cleanliness
* Provide friendly and efficient service to students and staff
* Assist with general kitchen duties and stock preparation
About You
* Experience in a cafe, tuckshop, canteen or similar food service environment (preferred)
* Reliable, organised and able to work efficiently in a busy team environment
* Friendly with strong customer service and communication skills
* Committed to maintaining safe food handling practices and child safeguarding practices (including holding a Blue Card)
Requirements
* Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or willingness to obtain
* Food Safety Certificate or willingness to obtain
* Valid Australian work rights
Hours & Conditions
Permanent Part-Time - 30 hours per week
Monday-Friday | 7:30am - 2:30pm (30 min lunch break)
Paid in accordance with the Parents and Citizens Associations Award - State 2016
