The Role THE MONDAY GROUP is exclusively partnering with a leading national Facilities & Asset Management company that holds a longstanding, high-profile government contract. We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef with a background in large-scale catering or high-volume food operations to help lead and enhance site catering. Reporting to a people-focused Head Chef, you will oversee kitchen operations, manage personnel, and ensure the seamless production and delivery of high-quality food services. Key Responsibilities Support the Head Chef in overseeing meal preparation and service delivery. Manage stock, including ordering, rotation, labeling, and inventory control. Train kitchen staff on food preparation methods, presentation standards, and religious meal requirements. Ensure strict compliance with Food Safety Programs, including hazard identification and HACCP protocols. Operate large-scale cooking equipment and maintain high efficiency in food production. Uphold Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards in all kitchen operations. Address and resolve customer feedback promptly and professionally. About You Qualifications: Australian-recognized Commercial Cookery qualification (Cert III). Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a Sous Chef in large commercial kitchens. Knowledge: Strong understanding of Food Safety Standards and relevant legislation. Skills: Excellent planning, organization, and interpersonal communication abilities.
