The Role: Rural Merchandise Sales Representative
As a sales representative at our Coffs Harbour branch, you will develop long-term partnerships with customers by anticipating their needs and providing win-win solutions.
You will be responsible for generating sales of cartons, seed, fertilizer, ag chemicals in various crops, along with seasonal forecasting.
This position involves being on the road covering the regions of Coffs Harbour, Macksville, and Woolgoolga.
Main Responsibilities:
* Pursue new business opportunities while maintaining the current customer base.
* Meet financial sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competition, and available products.
* Participate in trade shows and conventions.
* Knowledge of costs and mark-ups to ensure profitability and flexibility for customers.
* Counter and store sales & service as required.
* Delivery of merchandise.
* Assist with day-to-day retail operations within budget parameters to achieve profit objectives.
About You:
* A confident communicator and self-starter who enjoys meeting people and building lasting relationships.
* Proven sales experience, preferably in the rural sector.
* Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
* Motivation and ability to seek new sales opportunities.
* Professional presentation with a friendly and helpful manner, able to deal effectively with diverse workforces.
* Ability to manage time, meet deadlines, and take responsibility for output and quality of work.
* A valid driver's licence; current fork-lift licence highly regarded but not essential.
