Community Resources is progressing toward becoming an Aboriginal-led organisation, committed to culturally safe workplaces for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
The role
Community Resources is seeking a capable, grounded, and values-driven Chief Executive Officer to lead the organisation into its next phase of growth and impact. Reporting to the Board, the CEO will be responsible for working with the board on strategy, and turning strategy into clear plans, systems, and consistent performance across all of their sites.
Together with the senior management team, the ideal candidate will grow profitability, build a strong, visible safety culture, strengthen the connection between the different areas of the organisation, and improve financial discipline and stability through budgeting, cashflow management, and transparent reporting.
While a deep commitment to community and social impact is an essential part of this role, so is strong commercial acumen to prepare for our next stage of growth and scale. This will include reviewing contract and pricing, improving procurement and supplier management, and driving business development.
As the public face of Community Resources, the CEO will represent the organisation with customers, partners, and the broader community—communicating a clear, confident vision that attracts support, funding, and talent. They will also support increasing the impact of CR and the Board on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island people and progressing towards Aboriginal-led status and ensure culturally safe, inclusive workplaces for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff and communities.
This role will be based in NSW, with some travel across CR's various national sites required.
Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Island people with relevant skills and experience are encouraged to apply.
