About the Role
This casual Youth Worker position involves working with children and young people who are in out-of-home care, supporting them through our Key Assets foster/kinship program.
* Undertaking structured supervision and observation of contact with family members.
* Supporting children and young people who may have suffered trauma and subsequently present complex needs and challenging behaviours.
* Keeping comprehensive records of work undertaken and providing these as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A full, current QLD driver's licence.
* Certificate III in Children's Service or any equivalent qualifications or training in youth or social care.
* Prior experience working directly with children/young people, including teenagers, in the care system or other relevant field.
* Demonstrated experience working with children with trauma-related challenging behaviours.
* A comprehensive working knowledge of relevant legislation pertaining to children's services.
