Description:


Geraldton Yacht Club is seeking a Finance Administrator to join our small, friendly office team. This is a genuine family-friendly role with flexible hours.

Permanent part-time hours per week). You'll report to the Commodore and the Treasurer and manage the Club's financial operations with accuracy and care. In our small team you'll also occasionally cover the Events Coordinator or Office Administrator roles during annual leave or busy periods - keeping things interesting and giving you great variety.

Geraldton Yacht Club is a vibrant, welcoming club that supports sailing, Sailability, social events, our marina, and the broader Geraldton community.


Job Requirements:


Key responsibilities

* Full financial management: accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, debtor follow-up
* Payroll, superannuation, BAS, PAYG and ATO compliance
* Monthly financial reporting, budget preparation, cashflow forecasts and performance analysis
* Membership processing, invoicing and renewals
* Audit preparation, annual compliance, insurance and workers' compensation administration
* Liaison with the Treasurer, Committee and external stakeholders
* Support with marina finances, contract negotiations and general office/events duties

About you

* Solid experience in finance administration or bookkeeping (club, not-for-profit or small business experience highly regarded)
* Confident with payroll, tax compliance and financial reporting
* Proficient with accounting software and Microsoft Office
* Highly organised, accurate and able to work independently in a small team
* Warm, professional communicator with a genuine interest in community organisations
* Australian work rights
