We're looking for a Corporate Communications Manager to help shape and share QIC's story. It's a 35+ year story of performance, purpose, and partnership in the global investment landscape.
This is a role for a communicator who understands the world of institutional investing. Someone who can connect complex financial ideas to clear, credible messages that resonate with sophisticated stakeholders.
As part of QIC's multidisciplinary Communications and Marketing team, you'll work closely with our investment teams across asset classes to deliver communication strategies that enhance our reputation, engage clients, and support capital-raising and stakeholder outcomes globally.
You will lead external communications plans – both proactive and reactive – around company announcements, reputational matters and other corporate communication initiatives to enhance our reputation, engage our stakeholders, and mitigate reputational risk.
This role involves partnering across the Communications and Marketing team and other corporate or investment functions to deliver issues kits, communication plans, key messaging, and Q&A support for positive reputational outcomes in domestic and global markets.
Key responsibilities
Develop and implement global corporate communication strategies to support business objectives and enhance QIC's market position.
Create communication plans for proactive announcements across asset classes, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines.
Oversee high-quality content creation, including key corporate announcements speeches, messaging, presentations, and reports for senior executives.
Translate investment themes into clear, engaging corporate content.
Build and maintain a proactive pipeline of QIC profiling opportunities and execute on media strategy through strong relationships with financial and business media outlets globally.
Lead proactive and reactive communications to protect and enhance QIC's reputation.
Collaborate with global teams to ensure effective stakeholder engagement with investors, clients, regulators, and other key audiences.
Ensure adherence to QIC's standards of excellence and continuous improvement of communication processes.
About you
You are a strategic thinker with exceptional communication skills and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset. You bring deep experience in corporate communications within financial services or complex matrix organisations, combined with strong media relations and crisis management expertise.
You thrive in fast-paced environments, can manage multiple priorities, and have the ability to build relationships at all organisational levels. Cultural intelligence, resilience under pressure, and a collaborative hands on approach are key to your success.
To succeed in this role, you will have
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or related field (Master's preferred).
7+ years' experience in corporate communications or stakeholder relations, ideally within financial services and/or funds management.
Strong knowledge of financial markets, investment products, and regulatory environments.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills tailored to diverse audiences.
Proven media relations experience, including crisis communication expertise.
Proficiency in digital communication platforms and analytics tools.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams in a global, matrixed organisation.
High level of cultural intelligence, resilience under pressure, and adaptability.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
