Key Responsibilities
* Perform analysis and detailed design of bridges and miscellaneous roadway structures which conform with acceptable design standards and meet the specific requirements of the Florida Department of Transportation or the Federal Highway Administration.
* Prepare engineering calculations and engineering sketches review drawings and BIM Models.
* Manage multiple projects and assume responsibility for project execution within required timeframes.
* Perform and assist in QA/QC of final design packages prior to issuing for construction.
* Communicate with staff and clients to provide timelines and project updates on a consistent basis.
A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university or college is required. A Professional Engineer PE License in the State of Florida is strongly desired or the ability to obtain your PE License within 6 months of hire. Six years experience in Structural Engineering on Transportation/Roadway projects is also necessary. Proven proficiency utilizing various computer software packages and automated engineering and design equipment is essential.
