Overview
FOX ATHLTC is an online coaching brand helping men and women build muscle, lose fat, and improve their energy and productivity. We’re growing rapid, and we’re looking for an Assistant Coach to join our team.
This role starts as a behind-the-scenes coaching support position but has the potential to grow into a front-facing coach role over time. You’ll work closely with the Head Coach to support client fulfillment, retention, and communication.
What You’ll Do
- Create and update training and nutrition programs for clients (templates and guidance provided).
- Respond to 80% of client messages (general questions, reminders, check-in follow-ups).
- Log and monitor progress (check-ins, steps, macros, cardio) in Google Sheets.
- Schedule and manage retention/strategy calls with clients at week 10–12.
- Make minor program adjustments (rep ranges, swaps, volume tweaks) every 6–8 weeks to keep clients engaged.
- Action ad-hoc requests (meal swaps, exercise clarifications) when needed.
- Log in 3x daily (morning, lunch, evening) to keep client communication tight.
What We’re Looking For
- Background in exercise science, personal training, or nutrition (degree or certification preferred but not essential if you have experience).
- At least 1–2 years coaching experience (online or in-person).
- Strong knowledge of training program design and nutrition basics (macros, calorie balance, food swaps).
- Excellent communication skills — friendly, supportive, and professional.
- Detail-oriented and comfortable using Google Sheets / online coaching apps.
- A self-starter who’s happy to work independently and follow systems.
- This is a contractor role, not employment.
- You must be able to invoice monthly (ABN in Australia or sole trader setup in NZ preferred — free and simple to register if you don’t already have one).
- Rate: $500–$1000/month depending on experience and hours.
- Paid monthly upon invoice.
- Role starts at 10–15 hrs per week, with opportunity to grow as responsibilities expand.
