We're seeking an organised and motivated Waste Operations Logistics Officer to support the smooth running of waste and transport operations. In this role, you'll help plan, coordinate, and track the daily movement of vehicles, materials, and equipment across multiple sites. You'll work closely with drivers, contractors, workshops, and operational teams to ensure everything runs safely, efficiently, and on schedule. It's a busy and rewarding position where your planning skills, communication, and attention to detail will make a real difference.

Hours of Work:
7:15am to 4:15pm Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate daily logistics activities including vehicle movements, material deliveries, and equipment transfers
Manage a mixed fleet of trucks and work with external contractors to ensure timely and reliable service
Track transport schedules, deliveries, and stock levels using internal systems
Liaise with workshops and suppliers for vehicle maintenance and servicing
Support procurement and stock control of operational supplies
Monitor performance and identify opportunities for process improvement
Maintain a strong focus on safety, compliance, and environmental responsibility
What You'll Bring:
Experience in logistics, transport coordination, or supply chain operations (Certificate III in Logistics or Supply Chain Operations desirable)
Strong organisational and time management skills
Confident communicator with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders
Strong Administration skillset and using computer systems or GPS/fleet tracking software
Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements
Current Class C Driver's Licence
Unrestricted working rights in Australia
Experience in waste management or local government operations
Understanding of environmental and safety standards in transport or waste industries
Familiarity with the local government environment
