Job Summary
The Document Controller is responsible for managing, tracking, and maintaining all project documentation for this hydro power plant project. This role ensures accurate and timely processing of documents through the customer's document management system (Aconex), while also maintaining internal tracking systems using Excel and handling customer submittals originating from Aconex. The position works closely with engineering, construction, quality and other project teams to ensure documentation is consistently managed, properly filed and easily retrievable to support project delivery and audit requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Establish and maintain effective document control systems for site-based project documentation
* Ensure consistent document naming, numbering, version control, and filing protocols
* Manage the receipt, distribution, and tracking of incoming and outgoing project documents
* Ensure all documentation is accurate, current, and easily accessible for project teams
* Liaise with all teams to ensure timely submission and updating of documents
* Monitor and follow up on outstanding documentation to ensure completeness
* Manage the full lifecycle of project documents using the Aconex system
* Receive and process customer submittals generated from SAP
Your Profile
* Minimum 5+ years' experience in document control or site records management, ideally within large scale construction or infrastructure projects
* Relevant qualification in business administration, engineering, or a related field
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems
* Experience with Aconex, SAP, Excel functions such as VLOOKUP, SUM, Pivot Tables, Charts
* Excellent organizational and time management skills
Job Details
* 2 year contract to begin with
* Must be able to commute to the Cooma office daily; hybrid flexibility available once fully ramped up
* Up to $150K + Super depending on experience
Project Information
Snowy 2.0 is the next generation of the iconic Snowy Mountains Hydroelectric Scheme, and construction of this major pumped‐hydro project is well underway. Once complete, the Scheme will provide 2000 megawatts of dispatchable, on‐demand renewable power and approximately 350,000 megawatt hours of large‐scale energy storage to the Australian National Electricity Market. We are working with the awarded Sub Contractor.
