Talison Lithium aims to maximise local employment where possible by recruiting people who live in and around our local communities of Greenbushes, Bridgetown, Donnybrook, Nannup, Boyup Brook and Manjimup.
About the Role
Reporting to the Lead Project Engineers, the successful candidates will investigate, design and implement projects for the Greenbushes operation and ensure that project works are conducted in a safe, economic and environmentally responsible manner.
Responsibilities include:
visit all project areas to review progress and safety conditions and address specific issues; carry out planning, design and scheduling activities for projects; on an annual basis assist with the preparation of the projects plan and budget; develop and present periodic updates to the site clients; monitor and manage effective implementation of project design and plans; ensure project activities are being carried out to required standards and procedures; review and cost contractor claims and other invoices; prepare tenders, scopes, bills of quality, inspection test plans and quality management as required for projects; manage capital expense applications and reconciliations for projects; on a weekly basis attend the planning meeting to review project requirements; provide technical direction and coordinate any project related contractors; provide technical and engineering advice to other departments on site as required; and ensure that contractors comply with established safe working practices including site environmental requirements.
About the Candidate
minimum of 5 years relevant industry experience in Project Engineering roles, preferably brownfields; proven ability in project management; understanding of piping and processing equipment projects; analytical skills to prepare and manage capital budgets/forecasts and analyse cost variance; contract management including preparation of tenders, scopes, bills of quantity, inspection test plans and quality management; technical experience across mining or mineral processing operations; strong written, interpersonal and communication skills; ability to demonstrate effective people management skills; and knowledge and ability to interpret mine safety regulations;
