About the Role
The Family Response Facilitator will play a vital role in delivering quality services to vulnerable families. This is a full-time position based in Toowoomba, requiring the successful applicant to be responsible for providing support to children, young people, and their families within the Family and Child Connect service.
Key Responsibilities:
• Engage with individuals, families, and community members to understand their needs and provide tailored support.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of family strengths and weaknesses to identify service responses that meet their needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure cultural safety and comprehensive risk assessments.
• Provide information, advice, referrals, and linkages to relevant services based on assessed needs.
• Offer outreach services to families with multiple high-level needs, providing active case management and brief interventions.
About You
• A bachelor's degree (minimum) in child protection, human services, social work, psychology, or a related field from a recognized institution.
• Experience in strengths-based casework with complex families, including identifying and addressing child protection concerns.
• Understanding of the child protection system and its impact on vulnerable families, including issues such as substance misuse, domestic and family violence, mental health, trauma, and homelessness.
• Current and valid driver's license and paid blue card or ability to apply.
