About the role
* Provide high-quality administrative and clerical support to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the ward
* Manage accurate patient administration processes, including admissions, transfers, discharges, and demographic updates using CorePAS/WebDeLacy
* Maintain complete and well-organised patient medical records, ensuring correct filing, tracking, and timely return to Health Information Services
* Coordinate discharge documentation and ensure discharge summaries are completed and sent to General Practitioners to support continuity of care
* Ensure compliance with documentation standards, data quality requirements, and patient confidentiality policies
* Contribute to a professional, efficient, and patient-focused environment through continuous improvement and collaborative teamwork
About you
* Bring demonstrated experience in a hospital or healthcare administrative role, ideally providing ward-based clerical and patient administration support
* Confident using patient administration systems and digital tools while maintaining accurate medical records
* Highly organised and detail-focused, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced clinical environment
* A clear and professional communicator who works effectively with multidisciplinary teams, patients, and external stakeholders
* Positive, adaptable, and patient-centred, with a strong commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and the values of St Vincent's Health Australia
