The Underground Supervisor is responsible for managing and coordinating all facets of underground operations.

Deflector Operatio n consists of two high-grade, narrow vein Gold / Copper mines, located 160 km east of Geraldton. The ore is contained in a series of structurally complex lodes, namely the Deflector and Deflector Southwest deposits.
Reporting to the Underground Mine Foreman, the Underground Supervisor is responsible for managing and coordinating all facets of underground operations to meet safety, production, and cost targets. This role provides strong leadership to promote a positive safety culture, operational excellence, and compliance with statutory and company standards.
This position will be offered on a 14 : 14 FIFO roster from Perth or 14 : 14 DIDO roster from Geraldton.
Key Responsibilities of this Role Will Include
Perform statutory duties under the WA WHS Act *****), WHS (General) and WHS (Mines) Regulations *****)
Coordinate daily underground production activities including development, stoping, ground support, and services
Ensure short-term and daily plans are executed safely and in compliance with schedule
Communicate and collaborate with Technical Services and Maintenance teams
Ensure all personnel understand and comply with plans, procedures, and hazard management controls
Complete shift reports, production records, and incident reports accurately
Conduct and document pre-start meetings, crew briefings, and hazard identifications
Participate in rostering, resource planning, and training schedules
Support the implementation of improvement initiatives and change management programs
Liaise with contractors and service providers as required
About You
Qualifications
Completion of Year 10 education (minimum)
WHS Underground Supervisor (Non-Coal) Certificate
Experience
Extensive underground supervisory experience, preferably within a gold mining environment
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Experience using Microsoft Office and preferably mining software such as Pronto and INX
Strong capabilities in safety and risk management, conflict resolution, planning, and scheduling
Demonstrated problem-solving ability and adaptability
Commitment to continuous improvement and professional conduct
Required Certifications
WA Manual Driver's Licence (C-Class)
WA Dangerous Goods Security Card (DGSC)
Nationally Accredited Working at Heights Certification
Senior First Aid Certificate
Atmospheric Gas Testing Knowledge
Level 1 & Level 2 Isolation (Site Inducted)
