Relais & Chateau at Thornbury Castle seeks a Sous Chef to join our talented brigade of chefs in a unique and beautifully restored Castle and four Red Star boutique hotel.
Key Responsibilities
* Responsible for the preparation and service of 5* dishes for our guests in our 3 Rosette restaurant.
* Work with the Executive Head Chef to create menus that showcase modern British cuisine using locally sourced produce.
* Lead the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Head Chef, maintaining high standards of food safety and health and safety procedures.
* Assist in the training of new kitchen staff, promoting a calm and mature approach under pressure.
Requirements
* A truly talented Chef with a professional approach, great passion, and flair for the industry and food.
* Experience at 3 AA Rosette or 1 Michelin star environment is ideal, or at least 5 years' experience in 2 AA Rosette within a similar role or above.
* Dedicated, excellent team player with strong communication skills and ambition to succeed at the highest levels.
