Repair Operations Manager
We are seeking a skilled Repair Operations Manager to oversee the Repairs and Refurbishment team at our state-of-the-art service centre.
The Role
* Foster a collaborative work environment.
* Identify skill gaps in the Repairs Workshop team and implement targeted training.
* Mentor leading hands and develop their technical and leadership capabilities.
* Manage personnel levels for fluctuating schedules.
* Monitor projects to ensure company quality standards and profit objectives are met.
* Collaborate with planning and coordination teams to deliver optimal project outcomes.
* Optimize workshop scheduling and efficiency to reduce overheads and drive profitability.
* Investigate customer complaints regarding product quality, specifications, and condition.
* Analyze and inform relevant personnel of quality assurance issues.
* Ensure accurate real-time tracking of large projects, supported by the administration team.
* Provide on-site supervision to company and customer representatives.
* Ensure a minimum of 80% of available work hours are billable to service or production orders.
* Establish and maintain statutory testing logs for plant and machinery in the Repairs Workshop.
* Provide technical liaison between customers, product divisions, and sales personnel to resolve technical or delivery concerns.
* Evaluate team performance and develop a minimum standard for incorporation into the training matrix.
* Promote OEM spare parts and wear material component sales, providing technical support.
* Maintain high housekeeping standards and present the workshop team professionally.
* Provide accurate information and support to customers during site visits.
* Cooperate with other departments and functions.
* Deliver exceptional customer service and meet customer needs.
