A well-established dealership group is seeking an experienced Used Car Sales Manager to lead a high-volume Used Vehicle Department within a structured and professional environment.
This position is responsible for driving sales performance, gross profit, stock control and operational efficiency across internal supply channels.
This is a hands‐on leadership role suited to someone who understands how to balance stock strategy, team development and profitability in a fast-paced dealership setting.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Profit Performance
Drive departmental sales targets across retail and wholesale channels. Monitor daily activity, enquiry management and closing ratios while implementing strategies to maximise gross profit and overall performance.
Leadership & Team Development
Lead, coach and develop a team of Used Car Sales Consultants. Maintain accountability, conduct performance reviews and build a strong, results‐driven culture.
Stock & Operational Oversight
Manage internal stock flow and pricing strategy. Coordinate with buying functions on acquisition and valuations. Oversee reconditioning processes and monitor stock turn and ageing to maintain healthy inventory performance.
Interdepartmental Coordination
Work closely with service, pre‐delivery, finance and other departments to ensure seamless stock transition and operational alignment.
About You
* Proven experience as a Used Car Sales Manager
* Strong understanding of used vehicle stock management and valuation
* Experience managing high‐volume operations
* Commercially astute with strong KPI and reporting capability
* Confident leader who drives accountability and results
* Experience within structured or multi‐site dealership groups will be highly regarded
