About the role
R CON CIVIL is seeking an experienced and dependable Excavator Operator to join our growing team working across Canberra and nearby regions. You will be involved in a variety of civil and construction projects, operating modern equipment in a fast-paced environment.
What you'll be doing
* Operate excavators (various sizes) for trenching, bulk earthworks, and detailed excavation
* Carry out final trim work (highly regarded)
* Read and interpret plans and site instructions
* Conduct daily pre-start checks and basic maintenance
* Work collaboratively with site supervisors and labourers
* Maintain strict adherence to site safety standards
What we're looking for
* Proven experience as an Excavator Operator in civil/construction projects
* Must have a Verification of Competency (VOC) for Plant (essential)
* White Card, Asbestos Card, and Silica Awareness required for employment
* GPS and final trim experience (preferred)
* Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
* Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
* Own transport and licence
